My camel pieces  are my translation of part of the beauty of this country that has hosted me for 3 years. Each hair is carefully added one by one with different shades of colors representing the charm that Oman and Omani Culture hold.

Artist Statement:

I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia where I studied Graphic Design. After pursuing my goal of working in a well-renowned advertising agency, I realized I wanted to be more involved with people and decided to start a career in education. I obtained my M.A.Ed from the National University of Colombia and thereafter have been working in schools for the past 13 years. I am deeply passionate about teaching and love being an Art Educator. I was awarded my M.A in Illustration with distinction from the University of Hertfordshire, UK,  as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in International Education with Bath University, UK.

My work is an  exploration into the self and my way of making sense of the world. It is like a filter that things go through before they come back out into the world again. I am obsessed with color and how it affects our mood , behavior, emotions and even memories.
